If you change prices, hours, staff or photos regularly and want to do it without a developer, Wix's editor is genuinely better than WordPress's.
You need it live quickly
There is less to configure. A straightforward Wix site can be live in days rather than weeks.
The scope is settled
If the site is a brochure and will stay a brochure, you will never hit the ceiling, and you save on maintenance forever.

You cannot take it with you
A Wix site cannot be exported and rehosted. If you leave Wix, you rebuild. That is the real cost, and it is worth knowing on day one.
The ceiling is real
Complex integrations, large content structures and custom functionality are either impossible or awkward. WordPress has no such ceiling.
SEO control is narrower
Better than its reputation, but you have fewer levers than on WordPress. On a competitive search term that gap matters.

Is Wix bad for SEO?
No — that reputation is years out of date. Wix handles the fundamentals properly now. You have fewer technical levers than on WordPress, which only matters if you are competing hard on search.
Can I move a Wix site to WordPress later?
The content can be moved by hand; the site itself cannot be exported. Budget for a rebuild rather than a migration. That is exactly why we ask about your plans first.
Do I still pay Wix a subscription?
Yes. Wix's plan is separate from our build fee and is paid by you directly, so you keep control of the account.
Will you maintain a Wix site for me?
There is much less to maintain — Wix handles updates and security. We can still handle content changes and SEO if you would rather not.
